How To Pick A Skirt
Skirts are feminine, versatile, and an absolute fashion essential. But not all skirts are created equal. Here's what you need to know about what skirts to wear and how to wear them.
Step 1:
A Skirt That Flatters Every Body
The A-line skirt can be a woman's best friend. This skirt fits snuggly across the narrowest part of your hips and flares out to skim over the parts you want to hide.
Step 2:
A Skirt For The Office
The A-line skirt works for the office. Try pairing it with a white button down or a v-neck sweater. This skirt can be worn with heels or flats.
Step 3:
Color Selection
Bright colors make bold statements. A pink, knee-length skirt is a great choice for shopping with a girlfriend, but not for the board meeting.
Step 4:
Skirt Cautions
The mini-skirt is not for everyone and certainly not for every occasion. A jean mini-skirt can make an adorable cover up for your bikini. However, it's not the look you want for a first date. Because mini's are…well…mini…they should be left to the younger crowd. If you're a fit, daring woman in your 30's or 40's, pair a mini with dark, opaque hose and a turtleneck for a more sophisticated, age-appropriate look.
