The proper way to wear a seat belt is to wear their lap belt snugly over your hips. The shoulder belt goes over your shoulder and diagonally across your torso. But never wear the shoulder belt under your arm because we're talking broken ribs, we're talking punctured lungs, and possible damage to other internal organs if a seatbelt is worn incorrectly.
